This is a Spier & Mackay Slim Fit 36S Neapolitan cut. In looking at the existing/available MTO models, I notice the Peak Lapel model description says it features "lightly padded roped shoulders" - same as the English Cut description - but the example photo for the Peak Lapel model (a light grey, patch pocket, possibly hopsack jacket for some reason) appears to have a noticeably different shoulder construction than the English Cut model example.Ordered my first ever sport coat and I'd love some feedback. I sent an email to them and it sounds like you if you pick peak lapel under options, and then English under sizing, you'll get the combo you're looking for.but don't quote me on that. This was confusing for me too because the MTO order form has two places to specify English cut, one under options - jacket model, and a 2nd one under sizing. The good news for Team Beefcakes is that I probably won't be competing much for the RTW contemporaries anymore: my wardrobe is pretty big and I've mostly lost interest in adding to it since leaving the east coast and moving to seasonless California, so since I like this new template so much, I'll probably be exclusively going with MTO in this cut going forward, in the once once-every-blue-moon event that I decide I want more unnecessary tailored garments. The hiccup with the waist aside, I really like the subtle structure and roping in the shoulders, and am glad they have this in their arsenal. And I definitely have about an inch or two to drop off my waist anyway so it's an extra reminder to get my cardio in at the end of each training. I'm kicking myself a bit for not just bumping the waist up an bit but ah well now I know. I am considering asking if S&M can make an English Cut + Peak Lapel combo for formality short of a tuxedo.
